Real or toy guitar?

Postby northernruth » Sat Nov 12, 2011 6:06 pm

Martha has been expressing an interest in my guitar so I thought I'd get her one for Christmas. I was going to get her on of those toy pink ones but is she too little to get a child's classical?

Not sure on age, but we have a 'toy' blue one, wood. It's fully tune-able so perhaps they might be somewhere to start.

That's the kind of toy one I was thinking of, but we would have to get it in pink I guess.....

Go for the toy one to see how interested she really is.

S showed an interest in DHs guitars so we bought her a ukelele (wasnt cheap!) and she played carefully with it for a few weeks and lost interest and just wanted to be silly with it.

Shortly after we picked up a cheap toy one and that gets strummed & bashed about. Should have gone with cheap toy one first.

Alister has a mini real guiter, he loves it, found it in a charity shop for £15!
