Spending, spending, spending!

Postby gibsonkim01 » Wed May 05, 2010 5:07 pm

I could quite happily sit on my sofa all day, laptop on, and search for lovely fluffiness to buy for my daughter. I could put a rather impressive dent in my finances, were I brave enough to, as well as my OH's!

So far, I've only bought my dd 1 brand new nappy, everything else is preloved, so I've not spent that much altogether...which please my OH muchly! He just doesn't get it!

I was just wondering how much you think you spend in an average month on nappies, wool, etc?

I wouldn't like to add it up! I actually haven't been too bad recently, but when I first started buying fluff I always said it'd only be preloved.... but then Louise came along and tempted me with all sorts!! 'tis a slippery slope :giggle:

I'm still quite new to it all - didn't start using cloth until Freya was 6 weeks, therefore I have spent quite a lot getting a stash built up! Now that I have enough nappies to do cloth full time I won't be buying so often, I really can't afford to.

I prefer not to add up how much I spend but I know that Tylers cloth definitely costs a lot more than disposables ever would have (however I like to stress the resale value to oh - although I'm not sure that he knows how much resale value we are currently hoarding)!

It totaly depends on the month and what i need/buy...

If we need wool then some months i can spend £100, sometimes if i dont really need much then i can go the whole month and spend £20 or so...

I VERY rarely use money out of our account...what i spend is funds in my account from selling stuff :)

Very true. I'll probably get around £800 when I sell Katie's stash when she eventually PTs. NOT going to add up how much it all cost in the first place though
