Just to warn you it's now [government - I think, could be the water board] policy to change houses to water metres when they change ownership so you may get stuck with a metre anyway. They tried with us but we have a shared supply so they couldn't.

The general rule is, if you have more or the same number of bedrooms as people then you're better off on a metre.

We're not on a meter and only pay £20 a month so we wouldn't get a meter. I don't want to be worrying about running baths and Leo playing with the tap outside.
